Sustainability risk policies

Third Eye Asset Management BV (TEAM BV) makes the following disclosures in accordance with articles 3(1), 4 (1) (b) and 5(1) of the Sustainable Risk Finance Disclosure Regulation (2019/2088).

A sustainability risk is "an environmental, social or governance event or condition that, if it occurs, could cause an actual or potential material negative impact on the value of the investment". For TEAM BV, sustainability risks are risks which have the potential to cause a material negative impact on the value of the Third Eye Healthcare Fund portfolio.

As part of its investment due diligence and decision-making process for every potential investment opportunity for the Third Eye Healthcare Fund investment portfolio TEAM BV focuses on scientific, regulatory, financial, governance, legal, regulatory, environmental and social issues. As such, consideration of environmental, social and governance issues (“ESG) is integrated into TEAM BV’s investment process. Following an assessment of these issues and their associated risks, TEAM BV makes investment decisions for the Third Eye Healthcare Fund.

Bearing in mind the Third Eye Healthcare Fund focus on healthcare, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, the following sustainability risks have been identified as potentially material (n.b. this list is illustrative and by no means exhaustive):

  • Safe and ethical conduct of clinical trials and product marketing
  • Access, affordability and pricing of medicines
  • Quality of manufacturing and GMP procedures of manufacturing of medicines
  • Availability of compassionate use programs for patients with no treatment options
  • Employee and supervisory board diversity & inclusion
  • Clear, accurate and consistent disclosure of scientific, clinical trial and regulatory data

The Third Eye Healthcare Fund runs a long/short strategy and therefore it is important to note that the Fund can short (i.e. bet against) companies with poor ESG characteristics or high ESG risk factors.

Remuneration policy

TEAM BV compensates its investment advisors on a variable basis, taking into account performance of the Third Eye Healthcare Fund and compliance with all policies, procedures, and investment objectives of the Third Eye Healthcare fund (including those relating to sustainability risks).

Principal Adverse Impact reporting

TEAM BV does not take Principal Adverse Impact (PAI) indicators into account to determine if an investment can be considered sustainable and it does not make disclosures on the adverse impacts of its investment decisions on sustainability factors.
